FRC FIRST Stronghold KickOff & QuickBuild

We are less than 24 hours away from the launch of the 2016 FRC challenge FIRST Stronghold. Here in Calgary, we’ve been busy at SAIT making preparations for our KickOff event. We’ve got a great A/V setup to watch the broadcast on big screens, and we’ve got plenty of space for our teams to work on their robot kits once the competition is announced.

We’ll be operating out of the SAIT Aldred Building Food Court and Rooms CA 117 and CA 119. If you’d like to attend, RSVP using the following link:

The event is free for the public to attend, however attendees should be aware that parking on SAIT campus lots requires payment. Details on parking locations, where to find the Aldred Building, as well as public transit access can be found on SAIT’s campus map page:

Calgary FIRST Lego League Championship

On January 2nd, over a dozen FIRST Lego League teams from across Southern Alberta joined us at Telus Spark for the Calgary FLL Championship.

Young robotics students competed in the TRASH TREK robotics challenges, presented their Trash & Recycling projects, and demonstrated excellent Core Values and Gracious Professionalism.

The event was action-packed with loads of excitement and we even had a visit from the local 501st Legion Star Wars Storm Trooper Garrison.

Congratulations to all our teams on their great work, we look forward to seeing you all at our upcoming FIRST Robotics events. A Huge Thank You to all the Volunteers, Mentors, Coaches, Parents, and Students as well as to our Sponsor Telus Spark for helping to make this event a resounding success!
