DEEP SPACE Competition April 3rd to 6th, 2019

The pit arena will be in the Feature Gymnasium of the Genesis Centre which will be tunneled to the Gymansium in Nelson Mandela High School who will host the field competition.

About the Competition

The 2019 Canadian Rockies Regional will feature an international selection of over 40 teams from Canada, the USA, Mexico, China, Australia and Turkey. As Alberta’s top level youth robotics tournament, this high-tech sporting event is exciting and energetic as our participants compete in a complex STEM challenge.

Team Robot Load-in

Teams can load in their bots after 6:00pm on Wednesday April 3rd.

If you are are shipping your robot for this competition, please ship to:

Facility Hours are 9AM to 10 PM

Please not that drayage is free at this venue, however there is not a forklift on-site for receiving the robots, therefor the delivery truck dropping off and picking up must have a lift gate.

Spectators are welcome to come catch the live action 9:00am  to  6:00pm Friday April 5th and Saturday April 6th!

Robotics demonstrations for FTC, FLL, and FLL Jr. will be showcasing the different levels of FIRST programs

If you’re interested in robotics programs, this will be a great time to learn about the various levels of FIRST, see the robots in action, and interact with the students who built them.

Interior Event Layout & Load In

Pits
Each team will be provided with a 15ft wide by 10ft deep pit space. These pits will be backed by 7ft tall rod & drape. Each pit space will be furnished with 1 table, and an electrical connection (110V 15A max.) Pit Assignments
Practice Fields
